1. How can the app help me exercise more safely?
By using correct form and posture when working out, research shows that people will decrease the likelihood of getting hurt and in turn get more benefits from their workout.
2. What if I cannot fit my body exactly into the shape of the image or align my body perfectly with the model? – Not a problem! Like you, us at Correxercise, and everyone else on the planet, we are all different shapes and sizes. Form and posture is general, yet specific to every person’s anatomy. Try to align yourself as close to the image as possible, without feeling any discomfort, and best perform the exercise correctly. If you feel any discomfort or pain, please stop exercise and consult a physician. We want to help, not hurt.
3. How long should I work out for?
The Department of Health and Human Services recommends that the average healthy adult should perform strength training routines (using some of the exercises from the app) at least twice a week, no longer than 2 hours per session. Other recommendations include completing 150 minutes a week of moderate aerobic exercise (swimming, brisk walking, or mowing the lawn), or 30 minutes per day, for 5 days. If exercising vigorously (running or Zumba), a minimum of 75 minutes per week is recommended. Remember, never workout while under distress, pain, or discomfort. Always listen to your body and stop activity if something does not feel right.
4. How do I know that the postures and guidelines are correct for each exercise?
We at Correxercise have studied numerous resources, information, and studies; achieved training, certifications, education in kinesiology, and pledge to informing our users with the most reliable and credible information. We want everyone to exercise in a safe and productive manner.
